Nairobi / Samburu Game Reserve

Start your day with an early breakfast before departing Nairobi for the semi-arid beauty of Samburu Game Reserve. Along the way, pause briefly at the Equator Crossing point for a unique photo opportunity. Arrive at the Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time to enjoy a delightful lunch.

In the afternoon, visit a traditional Samburu village, where you'll be immersed in their vibrant culture. Experience the rhythmic singing and dancing integral to their daily lives and sacred rituals, and gain insight into their homes and unique social structure—a truly moving encounter.

End the day with a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the lodge.

Samburu Game Reserve

After breakfast, embark on an exciting full-day game drive through the Samburu Game Reserve. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch amidst the stunning wilderness before heading to the Umoja Women’s Cultural Village in the late afternoon.

This unique village, established by women for women, serves as a safe haven and a place of empowerment for those who have endured challenges such as genital mutilation, forced marriage, rape, and spousal abuse.

During your visit, explore the huts, the manyatta, the preschool, and the napoo (village parliament). Step into a Samburu woman’s home for an intimate look at their daily lives. Learn about the Samburu community's history, culture, and way of life, and browse the curio shop for handmade crafts. You'll also witness traditional blacksmithing, singing, and dancing. In the late afternoon, set out for an enchanting evening game drive in Aberdare National Park. Explore its dramatic landscapes, featuring steep forested ravines, cascading waterfalls, and open moorlands teeming with wildlife.

Day 14: Nairobi

Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and set off for the renowned Solio Reserve, one of Africa's premier wildlife sanctuaries. This fenced, privately-owned conservancy is dedicated to rhino conservation and plays a pivotal role in protecting and breeding black rhinos in Kenya.

The reserve is home to one of the oldest and most successful rhino conservation programs, offering a rare opportunity to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the breathtaking scenery of the ranch before continuing your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Upon arrival, check in at the luxurious Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, where you can unwind and prepare for the next day’s adventures.

Aberdare National Park

Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake fed by rivers Njoro, Makalia, and Nderit, all originating from the Mau Forest Complex. It is world-famous for the multitude of pink flamingoes that adorn its shores, earning its description as ‘the greatest bird spectacle on earth.  You will also visit Lake Naivasha, the lake holds an abundance of flora and fauna that attracts the nature enthusiast, with the papyrus swamp, the green valley and geographical beauty.

A visit to Hells Gate National Park, you will get an opportunity to cycle within the park, hiking or mountain climbing. Visit Olkaria Geothermal spa. Brine found in the water at the spa contains two natural minerals, Sulphur and Silica, which researchers say have therapeutic and health benefits, such as muscle relaxation for arthritis patients, improvement of blood circulation and treating skin conditions such as acne and eczema. These are some of the reasons why tourists are flocking to this corner of Kenya from as far as South America, Europe, and the Middle East to get a taste of this unique spa.

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and head to Naivasha and visit the Crescent Island which can be described as a garden, an animal sanctuary or simply a little paradise.  If you enjoy nature photography, then you will be overwhelmed by the beauty that Crescent Island holds. You will also enjoy the boat rides. After lunch you will depart Naivasha for Masai mara national reserve for an afternoon game drive.

You will have an early morning breakfast then head out for a whole day game drive. You will have a packed picnic lunch in the reserve and then head to Maasai Village in the afternoon. The visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes (manyatta) and social structure is a poignant experience. Dinner and over stay at the Lodge.

After breakfast depart the hotel and head for Nairobi,you will enjoy packed lunch on the way and arrive at the Brackenhurst Conference and retreat Centre for Check-in, Enjoy a nature walk at the hotel vast propety, Dinner served at the hotel.
